Lessons

I have learned that there are lessons being learned every day, we just have to search for them. God uses the things that are the hardest things for you, to help you keep your eyes on Him. It is important to remember that the "smallest" sin in life is just as bad as the "biggest", but also that the "smallest" revelation is just as good as an open vision. Both speak of God's unbeatable power. Notice that all in all you feel the same after a huge revelation as after the slightest nudge of his love. Think of the most beautiful person you know, their beauty does not compare to the beauty of the cross...
I guess this is just something to think about...

The Lion

If it were possible, I believe this strong, brave, and emotionless creature would have cryed. Holding emotions in day after day, year after year, when his heart would burst into a weeping unheard for so many years. You may figure by his original expression, that he has never experienced deep sorow, but as time goes on tears are rolling down his proud and noble face. No one knows what makes this huge beast cry, but the tears that are falling tell of hurting, and unbearable greif. No one knows what he has seen, or heard, who it happened to or when. But the sorrow is great, and his feelings are broken. As he brakes out in emotion, and tears just won't stop, he gives up holding them back. At first the bystanders are surprised, then they start to cry, for his pride is broken, and they are relieved to see his true emotions fly. Has this grand monster finally been over taken? When he has finally run dry of tears, he looks to the sky, with his melencholy expression, alowing the sun to dry his face. His pride has been damaged, but he is still able to feel the confedence of being a leader.

Going Agaist what is Normal

If I were to truly be who I am, would I be honored for it? Although laughing is one of my most loved possessions, would I feel the same way if it were pointed toward me? I should say it would not encourage my soul to any great degree, but would I have the courage to overlook it? Every day of life is like a precious jewl, to be who someone else is every day would be a waste of who I am inside. But who am I inside? Who am I growing to become? To swim the other way, would mean less friends, but in some circles more respect. Would more people follow, or would my difference, cause many to walk faster the other way? My name is being called in both directions, by swimming upstream, I am promised more fruit, but by going with the flow, I do not get beat up so much. Everywhere I look each person has their own opinions, are any of them right? All I need to do is choose which voice to listen to, they all sound similar, but there is One who is unmistakenably the genuine Voice. Will I be able to pick His voice from all the counterfeit? Oh please Lord call me in a loud voice, so I may know the true way to go! Block out the immitator's call, so I may honor You only. Grant courage to go agaist the flowing current of the everyday life, and to witness on the way. Teach me what it is to be a true follower of You. This is the cry of my deepest heart.

Apple Pie

Entering the gloomy kitchen, I look around for something to eat. The goal I have is to exit the dull uninviting room as quickly as is humanly possible. Oh but wait, what is that scrumptious smell evaporating from the filthy span you could hardly see to be an oven? The scent is far too overwhelming for words on a page. As this piece of work bakes in this dark kitchen, the room seems to become very bright and cheerful, inviting me to stay and make sure no evil villain comes to steal this aromatic obsession I have come to discover. I start to hear stealthy footsteps coming in. Could this be the wondrous creator of this strange yet captivating piece of food, or a terrifying criminal entering this homey kitchen to fight a duel over my pie? Who could it be? Who could it be? Only time will tell, should I run at them or sing at the top of my voice a song of someone starving finding their favourite food sitting calling their name? Wait! I hear panting, and who should walk around the corner but my cocker spaniel with long floppy ears. Then a terrible racket enters my ears, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! It is time to take it out of the oven, but should I do it or wait until the cook comes. Stomp, Stomp, Stomp, is the new sound that reaches my ears. Is this cook going to cut into this work of art and give me a large portion? The stunning lady comes running in; she has obviously spent more time on herself than the kitchen. “It’s ready! It’s ready!” is the sweet song I hear coming from her lips, then she notices me standing there hypnotized by the apple pie. With a sour expression she glares and states “Oh I suppose you want a piece?” All I can do is nod, “Well this is for a party I am heading to, there is defiantly not enough for you to have even the slimmest segment.” My jaw drops about 200 feet, my face shows of major concern, my eyes notice the dimness of the slimed out kitchen yet again. I doubt ever being able to enjoy any other kind of food. Tears of anger and tears of pain over the loss of a good friend start rolling down my oven burnt face. “All this anticipation for this glorious meal, simply for nothing, and all you care about is the party you’re going to,” were the angry words I spat out at her. “Oh but remember your allergic to pumpkins, and you get a rash with blotches and spots when you eat them,” was her quick and somewhat comforting response. Never the less I cried out “Pumpkin!” With that I forced myself to look in the fridge and what would I find in there but a delicious piece of apple pie all for me! That was an incredibly eventful day. What is a better way to finish it off but with a mouth-watering piece of apple pie?
